Good morning to all,
I so far have had a busy spring and am looking forward to seeing everyone on May 13th (with kids – thank you!)
Just wondering if you all knew the dates of
1) The Concord free compost day
2) If there are any seed swapping activities that go on around here.
3) When the plant/flower exchange is in Concord.
Thanks!
Chris
Here are the answers to your questions…
1. May 12: Free compost is available at the Everett Arena parking lot from 9 a.m.-noon (Blog moderator comment 5/7/09…This is incorrect. There is no free compost pick-up scheduled according to Groundworks Concord. See replay below.)
2. I have not been able to find a seed swap in this area. Perhaps you could organize one for our group? Interested parties could get together during the potluck dinner and figure out a system!
3. Here is the info for the plant swap…

CORRECTION! There is NO free compost pick-up on May 12th. I saw must have seen an old ad from 2007 when I googled it. I contacted Groundworks Concord and there is no free compost day scheduled in the near future. You can go to the Stump Dump on Ft. Eddy behind the new CAVES animal hospital and buy city compost there.
Sorry for the mistake!
